Pilsdon Pen, the highest point in Dorset is near to Dunster Farm and the beautiful Jurassic coastline is just a short drive away with lovely beaches at Lyme Regis, Charmouth and Burton Bradstock.
There are numerous country pubs and restaurants nearby and we recommend the Ilchester Arms at Symmondsbury or the Hare and Hounds at Netherbury. Washingpool Farm and Restaurant is not far away for good local produce.
The nearest town, Bridport, is just three miles away, with the traditional markets taking place on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Adjoining Bridport is West Bay, a beach and harbour resort, which was also the location for TV's 'Harbour Lights'. Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall's River Cottage is just a 25 minute drive away and we have been recommended on their list of accommodation.
The Swannery at Abbotsbury, Forde Abbey and Cricket St Thomas Wildlife Park are all worth a visit and we are happy to tell you about many other local points of interest during your stay.
